Theatre review: A mighty ‘King Lear’ on Staten Island

The problem most people have with Shakespeare is their fear. Their fear of not understanding what’s being said, what’s going on. That’s not a problem with Staten Island Shakespearean Theatre’s production of “King Lear, and here’s why: the actors actually understand what they’re saying, so we do as well. This is undoubtedly due to their hard work as well as the brilliant direction of Cara Liander.
