LYSISTRATA by Aristophanes – June 18th

June 18, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The Peloponnesian War is raging on, women of Athens are yearning for its climax and their own. Through the turmoil, a leader will rise with an outrageous idea: No Sex Until Peace! Eight female actors bring to life Aristophanes comedy, Lysistrata, and explore what happens when an idea ignites action while inflaming the battle between the sexes. In this modern adaptation, the Staten Island Shakespeare Company declares: “Who is Lysistrata?”
