Staten Island Shakespearean Theatre Co. paid homage to The Bard’s 453rd birthday on April 24, 2017 at Blue restaurant in Livingston. More than 70 people gathered for the evening of drinks and chef/restaurateur Julian Gaxholli’s signature eats. In between courses, members recited Shakespeare sonnets.

During the dinner, SIST reps awarded five outgoing Board members with plaques, thanking the following for their years of cultural service: Dorri Aspinwall, Ellen Mitchell, Jayne Cooper, Evelyn Finn and Ken Conroy.

After recruiting several head honchos to their company in June 2016, the non-profit troupe that’s produced more than 200 shows since its inception in 1975 welcomed six more members to the table.
